Container for storage of radioactive and chemically active waste

Due to its unique properties cast stone can be used as a material being in contact with radioactive waste (cast stone is not ageing, has very high resistance to aggressive influence, stable characteristics and the main is that cast stone is resistant to radiation influence and does not produce radioactive dust).

Container for burying of nuclear fuel waste was produced on a special order at JSC "Pervouralsk mining equipment plant". It consists of the following parts:

1. Cast stone box
2. Metal covering
3. Protective concrete layer
4. Cover made of the same materials tightly adjoining to the container.

Experimental lot of such containers was produced and operated at one of closed centers. One of experimental examples is being certified to accordance of GOST at present.

Not only nuclear fuel waste but other dangerous poisonous and chemically poisonous substances can be stored in containers.
